AI Family Tree privacy policy: The short version

Anonymous projects stay in your browser. When you sign in, family projects are also synced privately to your account so they can be recovered and managed. Member photos and family emblems are stored as private media. Stripe handles card details; we do not store your card number.

Clearing browser data removes the local copy. A signed-in project may still exist in your account until you delete it there.

Stripe processes payment details. We receive the customer email, payment status and transaction references required to unlock a purchase, handle a refund and maintain accounting records. For existing $24 Print Pack orders, authorized staff may access the selected family project only to prepare, review and deliver the files you ordered.

We do not sell family data, use it to train AI models, or make family trees publicly searchable.

AI Family Tree privacy policy: Retention and deletion

You can archive a family from My Families and restore it from Recently Deleted for 30 days. After that recovery window, its family tree and private media are permanently removed. An active Print Pack order pauses cleanup until fulfillment is complete. Payment and fraud-prevention records may be retained where law or legitimate accounting requirements apply. Support messages remain until they are no longer needed. To request account deletion or a copy of stored data, email privacy@aifamilytree.org; we aim to respond within 30 days.

AI Family Tree privacy policy: Cookies and analytics

With your permission, Meta Pixel measures visits and verified purchases for our Facebook advertising. Meta may receive browser information, the page URL, cookies, and purchase value and currency. We do not include family names, photos, or email addresses in advertising event parameters. Use Ad privacy settings to allow or withdraw consent at any time. Browser blocking or refusal means some purchases cannot be attributed to ads. Authentication uses cookies required to keep you signed in and protect your account. Analytics may be enabled to understand site usage; when consent is legally required, non-essential analytics must wait for that consent. The current providers, if enabled, are disclosed through this site’s consent controls.

AI Family Tree privacy policy: Security and children

We use access controls and private storage, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not add sensitive details you do not need. Adults should supervise children using the service and obtain permission before recording or sharing information about living people.
